La número 39 entrega de los American Music Awards se llevó acabo el domingo pasado, 20 de noviembre, en el Nokia Theater de Los Ángeles, CA, en Estados Unidos, premiando a lo mejor de la industria musical, dicha entrega cada año pierde credibilidad debido a los que resultan ganadores, quienes son elegidos por los votos del público que compra los discos. Las mayores ganadoras de la noche fueron las cantantes Adele y Taylor Swift.

El día de ayer se realizaron los Premios MTV EMA 2011, la gran ganadora esta vez fue Lady Gaga. Arraso con la mayoría de los premios, entre ellos destacan la mejor canción y vídeo del año, siendo aquí triunfo su sencillo “Born this Way”, también por el mayor número de fans a nivel mundial, y por si fuera poco también fue elegida como mejor artista femenina del año. Las críticas no se hicieron esperar, entre lo más criticado de la noche fue Katy Perry por llevar una vestimenta fuera de serie, aunque eso no afecto pues se llevo la mejor actuación en vivo según los premios. Katy Perry entrego a Queen el “Global Icon award” con lo cual dijo las siguientes palabras: “Cambiaron mi vida. El legado que nos ha dejado Freddie Mercury brillará siempre.” Justin Bieber ganó el premio de mejor interprete masculino del año, mientras que Bruno Mars se llevo el premio como debutante.
